中外高校青年学子相聚北京探讨中国和欧盟如何共同应对气候变化
An event to celebrate the success of the first EU China Climate Course held in Beijing
University students gather in Beijing to discuss how the EU and China can work together to fight climate change
正值《联合国气候变化框架公约》第28届缔约方大会(COP28)召开之际,2023年12月12日,欧盟驻华代表团在北京接待了来自中国计量大学和其他几所中国大学的中国学生,庆祝中欧气候实验性课程圆满结束。
At the occasion of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, on December 12, 2023, the European Union Delegation to China in Beijing hosted a group of Chinese students from the Research Center for Carbon Neutrality and Green Development, China Jiliang University and several other Chinese universities to celebrate the successful accomplishment of the EU-China Climate Experimental Course
欧盟驻华使团绿色转型处、环境与气候变化参赞骆浩君(Laurent Bardon)致欢迎辞,与参会代表进行了互动交流,并阐述中欧共同应对气候挑战的政策和机遇。中国计量大学碳中和与绿色发展研究中心执行主任虞伟回顾了中欧气候实验性课程项目执行情况,提出了高校在推进中欧青年气候教育和传播方面的建议。来自欧洲和中国的讲师代表分享了授课体会,几位学员代表围绕低碳工业、低碳生活、低碳交通和城乡规划等调研专题进行了分享。
Mr. Laurent Bardon, Head of Green Transition Section and First Counsellor for Environment and Climate Action, welcomed the guests had an interactive exchange with the participants elaborating on the policies and opportunities for the EU and China to jointly address the climate challenge. Yu Wei, Executive Director of Research Center for Carbon Neutrality and Green Development, China Jiliang University, reviewed the implementation of the EU–China Climate Experimental Course and put forward suggestions for universities to promote climate education and dissemination among EU-China youth. Lecturer representatives from Europe and China shared their teaching experience, and four student representatives shared their views on various topics of their field work: low-carbon industry, low-carbon life, low-carbon transportation, and climate-friendly urban and rural planning.
本届中欧气候实验性课程以多元化、动态的方式阐释中国和欧盟气候政策。来自欧盟和中国的七位讲师在八个模块中重点介绍了气候行动的不同方面,包括气候政策、公众参与、气候安全、气候沟通和低碳规划。此次课程吸引了约600名学员参加在线培训和实地调研,近20名优选出的学员被邀请到北京参加结题会。学员覆盖国内外18所大学(机构)的17个不同专业。通过开展应对气候变化议题的实践研究和公众传播,该气候课程探索多方参与的气候适应模式,同时加强中欧青年气候议题的民间交流,推动气候变化青年领导力,支持气候友好行动。
The EU–China Climate Experimental Course illustrates the EU and China’s climate policies in a diversified and dynamic way. Seven lecturers from EU & China focused presented in eight modules different aspects of climate action including climate policy, public participation, climate security, climate communication, and low-carbon planning. The course attracted around 600 students who took part in the online training and field research. The best 20 students were invited to Beijing for the final event. They covered 18 domestic and foreign universities (institutions) in 17 different study majors. By conducting practical fieldwork and public outreach on climate change issues, the climate course was able to explore climate adaptation models with multi-party participation, while at the same time strengthen people-to-people communication between China and European youth on climate issues, promoting youth leadership on climate change, and supporting climate-friendly actions.
